Welcome to Sidenetting - Issue 3.

Hold the front page! In this issue we wanted to record some of the decent and the half-decent pundits on the box; Andy Gray, Alan Hansen, James Richardson, Jeff Stelling and the like. We will in time, but events took over and it would not be fitting if we didn’t pay our respects to Graeme Le Saux who may never grace our TV screens again. We can but hope.

No more Soxy but perhaps in readiness for this traumatic day, the BBC has been nurturing someone to fill the void - Carlton Palmer. This, to Ray Stubbs, ‘Final Score’ 25th March 2006 on Aston Villa fans, having just seen their team draw with Fulham 0-0. VERBATIM.

“Ray, I’ll tell you they expect I mean I I I will not criticise his team for art and desire to to to to to the battle but there’s no quality they they they’re knocked the ball from back to front at Villa Park they’re used to their team playing football. There’s no quality. I mean I think if they got beat today and they should’ve got beat I mean I err they us David O’Leary will come out and say we ‘ad chances and I’ll say they will but they should’ve Fulham ‘ad the better chances and should’ve beaten today and this is the Fulham side that hasn’t won on the road all season.”

The King is dead. Long live the King.

Long before we started this rubbish, through his column in Football365 and on his own website, John Nicholson has been waging war against the crime of rotten football punditry. See the Internet Review in this issue but by way of thanks, and if you’re of the air guitar persuasion anyway, go buy a T-Shirt from www.DJTees.com. In doing so you’ll keep him off the streets and they’re really good quality shirts anyway.
